After his dream pf striking gold failed, Bruce Phillips’ great, great, grandfather R.M.
Hamilton partnered with L.L. Baker to sell provisions, tools and general supplies to others
seeking fortunes in the gold fields. To honor this mercantile history, the Phillips family created
Baker & Hamilton, an exceptional estate-grown wine from Vine Hill Ranch, their 71-acre
Oakville vineyard. Source of many legendary Cabernets as well as VHR (Vine Hill Ranch)
Cabernet Sauvignon, Baker & Hamilton is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that highlights the
vineyard’s Oakville bench land fruit. With soft supple tannins, Baker & Hamilton has remarkable
depth and complexity while pairing beautifully with an array of cuisine. Francoise
Peschon, Vinous’ 2021 winemaker of the year and the VHR winemaker, crafts this fabulous
wine that we couldn't be more proud to represent.
