BOAR'S VIEW
In 2007, Fred and Carol Schrader purchased 14 acres of land off Bohan Dillon Rd., 45 minutes northwest of Cazadero in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA. The following year they had Ulysses Valdez plant 10 acres of Pinot Noir (Calera, Mt. Eden, Swan clones) on the
Goldridge soils of the lower blocks and 2 acres of Wente clone Chardonnay on the coastal
clay soils that made up the top two blocks. Thomas Brown has made the wines since their 2012 debut. These are powerful, muscular and structured wines from the second ridge in from the ocean on the true Sonoma Coast.
