Thomas Brown heads up the winemaking at Jones Family Vineyards. The Estate consists of 3 different vineyards. The first two, totaling 7 acres, were planted between 1991 and 1993 by David Abreu for Bart and Daphne Araujo who planned to begin their namesake label with these before purchasing the Eisele Vineyard. The third hillside block was planted by David in 1998 to Cabernet, Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot. The soils are volcanic and rocky and each vineyard, farmed by Jim Barbour, contributes it’s own unique flavor profile to the final blend.
