Enrico Bertoz and his wife Letizia Pauletto each grew up in Friuli, in the northeast corner of Italy. They worked their way through school in the vineyards of that area and when they felt the time was right, came to the states to pursue their dreams.
Originally settling in southern California, Enrico worked with Manfred Krankl at Sine Qua Non and after sometime at UC Davis, moved north to the Napa Valley to make wine at Girard and currently, Flora Springs.
Arbe Garbe, or literally "bad weeds", was born in 2007 with an unctious white blend, predominantly Pinot Grigio, from the Saralee's Vineyard in Russian River.
